ScrapeNow’s current advantage
Less workflow construction for an occasional real-browser job
Octoparse’s official documentation describes a four-stage model: build a task, test the extraction logic, run locally or in the cloud, then export. Auto-detect can create a starting workflow, but advanced jobs still involve actions such as clicks, loops, waits, scrolling, pagination, and detail-page navigation.
That control is useful. It also means the user is learning a workflow system. ScrapeNow intentionally makes a different tradeoff: paste the page, prepare it in the browser if necessary, name the output fields, and review the rows. This is a stronger proposition for an occasional extraction. It is not a replacement for every reusable automation workflow Octoparse can model.
A short setup matters more than building a reusable automation graph.
The user can sign in and prepare the page while website credentials and cookies remain local.
ScrapeNow does not currently run scheduled cloud jobs or send change alerts.
ScrapeNow does not yet record a full series of clicks, conditions, loops, and navigation actions.
What remains to be tested
